Support the pantry through monetary donations for the purchase of items especially needed by our unhoused neighbors

EXTREME WEATHER CENTERS

Provide a physical location for the center; we are always in need of suitable spaces that can be prepared on short notice; having backup locations contributes to a successful plan

Financial donations in advance are needed to purchase food for breakfast and dinner, water, beverages, toilet paper, and paper products necessary to serve the center’s guests

Volunteers Needed for Welcome Table, Staying Overnight, cleaning upon closing, and transportation. Training provided in advance.

SAFE PARKING MINISTRIES

We might be able to make our parking lot available for 2-3 vehicles overnight only—your faith community decides on start and end times; the Georgetown Coalition for the Unhoused and Neighbors First! can help by providing materials needed and pre-screening applicants who need overnight parking

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES | NAVIGATION SERVICES

Donate funds to assist with costs of obtaining documents such as IDs, driver’s licenses, and birth certificates

Provide or financially support shower and laundry opportunities; host a 2-hour event at local laundromat!

Donate funds to help clients maintain their cell phone service; without their phone they can’t schedule job interviews or set appointments to meet with us. It’s their computer.

BRIGHT SPOT RESOURCE & RESPITE CENTER

Our faith community might be interested in donating space near downtown where the Center could be located and be open for business 2-3 days a week for a few hours per day.

When the Center is open, our faith community might be able to offer their time and assistance, assist with equipment and supplies, and build community with our neighbors

HOME AGAIN HOUSING RE-ENTRY

Our faith community might be interested in contributing to the costs of getting people into housing and providing financial assistance while they work toward self-sufficiency.

We might be interested in helping people move into their new homes by donating move-in assistance, furniture, appliances, basic household necessities, or other household startup needs.
